My best friend’s dad passed away this morning
just like my dad, his dad was a cop. he was going to help another officer and ended up swerving out of the way of another driver, jumped the curb, went airborne and hit a telephone pole.
he was practically my uncle. he and my dad graduated from the police academy together. me and his son went to the same preschool. we’ve practically been like brothers since birth and it kills me to see this happen. he was killed in the act of doing his job, which is doing the biggest deed that anyone could do for their city. it makes me wonder how and when will i die.
